Everything That Could Go Wrong… Did 🌧️ | Behind the Booth at the Top Shelf Boozy Book Fair
This past weekend, I packed up my candles, braved the blazing Texas heat, and debuted my new outdoor booth setup at the Top Shelf Boozy Book Fair at Deacon Baldy’s in Magnolia, TX. Let’s just say, it was a whole experience.
From sudden downpours to sweating through my clothes (and maybe a candle or two got juicy along the way), this market was a lesson in rolling with the punches, laughing through the chaos, and leaning on the amazing community that shows up rain or shine. And don’t worry, I captured it all on video so you can come along for the ride.

In the vlog, you’ll see:
- My brand new booth layout and display setup
- How I prepped for the event and kept cool (spoiler: I didn’t)
- The moment the skies opened up and everything got soaked
- Behind-the-scenes chaos with a big dose of real-life candlemaker hustle
- Despite the weather, the Top Shelf Boozy Book Fair was full of book lovers, local vendors, cocktails, and so much charm. I’m always grateful for these pop-up events where I get to meet readers, makers, and new friends. Even if we’re all dripping wet by the end of it.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s really like to run a small handmade business at outdoor markets, this video gives you an unfiltered look.
Thanks again to everyone who stopped by, supported small businesses, and braved the storm. 🌧️📚🕯️
