I LOVED The Path To Loving Him (Almond Bay #3) and if you want the BEST experience, I highly recommend reading that before diving into Just For the Plot (not necessary, but made this SUCH A GOOD BOOK!)

Read if you love:

๐Ÿฉท He's a Professional Baseball Player
๐Ÿฉท Friends to Lovers
๐Ÿฉท They read together
๐Ÿฉท He Falls First and Hard
๐Ÿฉท Slow Burn

Bennett has been yearning for Bower, his older sister's best friend. His sister, Gabby, gave up EVERYTHING growing up for him to be able to pursue a career in professional baseball. They're still super close to this day and have an AMAZING trusting relationship.
When Bower moves to his town and ends up in the same building, he can't help but feel like this is his chance to make a move on the girl he's adored for most of his life. One problem...she's strictly off-limits. Bower and Gabby have a pact where they promised each other to protect and care for Bennett.
So when Bower ends up falling for Bennett, she has a huge inner conflict of letting her best friend down. She wants to love Bennett so so much but can't. UGH.
The last few chapters had me crying. The spice was phenomenal (explicit and detailed scenes). It's a nice slow burn while Bower gets to know Bennett more, and I LOVED that.
